Fire Victims:
I know
that a lot of you have been asking if we are planning anything for the fire
victims. I have posted it before, but in case you haven’t seen it – yes. I
have been working with the Mayor’s Office in Poway
plus I am coordinating with about 40 stores from LA on down plus about a
dozen manufacturers to create an event called “Operation Replenish”.
We
will be collecting unused paper & stickers (etc) and gently used tools
from anyone who wishes to donate. They will be given to those who suffered
a loss.
UPDATE:
we have been given permission by Rite Aid to use the vacant space in our
shopping center. We are planning the event for the middle of February now,
so start collecting items that you wish to donate!
I’ll
be in touch with more information as soon as I can secure a suitable
location.

valentine’s release in the box. I’m not sure when we are “supposed” to put
it out, but we put it out yesterday.

7Gypsie’s – we received several
of their popular ATC card holders. Plus we got a few additional accessories
for the ATC holder.

Hampton Arts – it was a
portion of our Creative Café order – all of their ink pads to go with the
colours, plus their clear stamps and a few of their rubber stamps.
And we are just expecting one more box today from SEI and then
I’m DONE ENTERING BOXES (for two days… basic grey’s valentine’s line ships
later this week!)

We are still
checking in our last few boxes of the year!
And it took most of Friday and all day Saturday, but we have the Creative Café FINALLY out!
I had been putting it off since early November
b/c I knew it would be a nightmare of epic proportions and, unfortunately,
I was right!
But,
we have it all and are working on getting it priced and out. FYI – RE: the
Buttons by the scoop… We are selling the buttons by the 4oz container, not
the 2oz scoop. So, while they might seem a little bit more expensive, the
MSRP on the 2oz scoop is $2.99 ($1.50 per oz) and we have the 4oz container
for only $4.99 ($1.25 per oz). But you can mix and match colors to get up
to your 4oz. you can seal the container and keep it in your shopping basket
while you shop around. And we will package them when you check out. We hope
it will be easier for you!

came in misspelled – we’re getting replacements. And a couple of other
items had the wrong colors… those will be replaced also. But aside from

6/12/07:
• Dad Update: Well, Dad
leaves this Friday. But you’ll see him busily fixing and cleaning up the
overhead lights this week. He’s already started and replaced bulbs so that
we have the best lighting possible! Yippee! He’ll be tinkering on some

6/2/07 (am):
• Dad Update: Ok – can we just tell you that DAD ROCKS! So, you know
about the additional lighting he did. And you know that he repaired the one
bathroom stall door. And he put a bunch of our racks, which weren’t already
mobile, on wheels (which may not matter much to you but it sure does to the
staff! J ). Well, in the last few days, Dad
fixed our exterior sign so it lights again. He changed the light switches
in the restrooms to be motion sensored. And he divided our lighting so that
the lights as you exit after a crop will now be ON! (SHOCKING concept, I
know!). Those are just the biggies! THANKS DAD!

brand new Making Memories is in stock!

Travel: We received a
restock of this GREAT line of international travel paper for all sorts of
destinations. It sold out so quickly the first time, but we have all of the
papers back in: Germany,
Ireland,
Italy,
Spain,
France
and England,
to name a few. Cruise, flying by Jet, and sports were also included.

Prima: We got a restock
on the tiny jars of flowers from Prima – plus a few other goodies!
•
Colorbök: We FINALLY
have their refills back in stock!

Sunday: If you were in
the store on Sunday and I just didn’t seem to be myself, or I looked a
little “off”, it’s because one of my kitties was killed by a coyote. It was
Mr Felix. You may have met him at any of the other locations. He was the
fuzzy white one. (He hid in the vault at the current store). Anyway, I only
found out that morning on my way to the store. Sorry if I wasn’t my usual
chipper self.
5/26/07:
• Dad Update: He added a lock to the one bathroom stall that everyone
asks about. J He’s also working on a few “behind the scenes” projects
that are really important to the staff and I.

Memorial Day: We are
open Memorial Day from 10am-6pm.

Rolodex Class Kits: We
have two kits from Rolodex that are available if you are interested! The
prices is the same that the class was $43. This class will not be held
again.

Rusty Pickle Class Kits:
We have two kits left from the Chocolate Bunnies class with Lance Anderson
from Rusty Pickle! $29 each.

5/23/07:
• Dad Update: Ok – I can’t believe that I didn’t update you guys sooner
b/c the staff and I are SO excited! It might not mean much to you, but we
now have ALL of our Mrs. Grossman’s racks and all of our magazine racks on
CASTERS! THEY ALL ROLE NOW! We’re just ecstatic! And, btw, while he was
doing that, he FIXED the magazine racks – surprise, surprise! But they
ACTUALLY spin now!!! YEAH DAD!

with a dot and a trim.

here for a month. So far, he has added more lighting to “Memories” through

WORLD to myself and the staff! We are always moving stuff around and now
they are MOBILE!

Ø IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD
YET… We
moved in the fall of 2004! We are now just diagonally across the street into the
Michael’s & Jo-Ann’s shopping center. Our new location is MORE THAN THREE
TIMES the size of the old space!
Our new address is 12305 Poway Road.
We are in the free-standing building along Poway Road in
the north-western corner of the parking lot (formerly was Ortho Mattress).
I cannot tell you how
excited I am! From 300 square feet within my ex-husband’s store… to 700
square feet on Poway Road near Community… to 1,100 square feet where we
were... and now to 4,800 (3,600 is dedicated to retail space!) in our new
home!
We have the largest
selection of products in San Diego!
And I have my amazing
customers and fantastic staff to thank for it!
And, did you know that our
store is organized by TOPIC? It makes it SO much easier for you to find
what you are looking for and to see all items in a theme at one glance! We
were the first to do this and have had several follow suit because the
customers just LOVE it! I hear DAILY how much people love to shop this way!
Don’t worry, things like
Basic Grey, Wild Asparagus, Chatterbox, Bohemia, Magnolia, etc, are all kept
together for those who shop by brand! These are “collections” and it would
make no sense to split them up! J
Ø Frequent Buyer
Program Change …
We no longer accept the yellow punch cards. The
old punch cards began being changed out 2/1/04 and expired 5/30/04.

We ran a three month conversion program for
your yellow cards. From Saturday, February 28, 2004 to Sunday, May 30,
2004, you were allowed to change them in for equal credit.
·
We sent press releases to over 30 local
newspapers in San Diego and Riverside Counties, posted signs at our store,
listed it on the front page of our website, sent out three emails to all of
those on our email list and sent postcards to anyone whose email address we
didn’t have.

Hewlett Packard products, class fees, crop
fees, and gift certficiates are excluded from the plan

We reserve the right to change these rules at

We receive shipments EVERY week. If you haven’t
been in our store in a Month or even a Year, you will NOT BELIEVE how we
have changed! Come in and visit us today!
