going on:

We just got back from our Scrapbook Cruise to
Ensenada. It was AMAZING! We all had the best time and
I’ll be posting pictures soon. Tina Dores
won for working the most hours. Three people completed entire Scrapbooks
while on the cruise! We had games and TONS of prizes – including a
bunch of zany photos from groups trying to win our photo scavenger hunt. It
was just plain fun! We’re going to go again in 2006. Let us know if
you are interested in going and we’ll contact you personally!

10/5/05:
The counters
finally arrived!
You might not notice it (because they
all fit together so well), but it is completely freaky to us working behind
them! But we got the additions to our counters installed on Wednesday, 10/5
and they are great! We now have more counter space and more “elbow
room” behind the counters. It’s GREAT!
9/15/05:
I’m
SO excited…
…to finally announce that we have
a third register up and running! I was trying to wait until our counters
were expanded but that has been postponed and postponed by the company
making them that I didn’t want to wait any longer! Plus, we got our
new aprons in this week. YEAH! The counters are SUPPOSED to be in (again)
next week. I’ll believe it when I see it though! J
The third register will allow us to
continue to enter in new products into that register – out of the way
- while keeping two registers soley designated to
ringing up your purchases and get you on your way faster.
9/14/05:
NEW
STUFF…
Ok
– it might be getting a little “old” for me to be saying
this, but HOLY COW do we have a lot of boxes in! Monday, we received 25
boxes from one vendor alone! (385 lbs!) They are all unpacked but we have
dozens left. We’re working double-time to get everything out –
but please be assured that we have TONS of new products already out on the
floor!
9/7/05:
Wednesday,
September 7th
Ø Did you try to visit our store this day?
or call? We’re SO SORRY but we lost power around 1pm. A line behind
Jo-Ann’s shorted and blew out a transformer. Because we are prepared
for minor electrical issues, we were able to stay open until 3pm. At that
point, we lost battery power and had to close. We did not get power back
until around 7pm and by then all of the employees were at home. It
didn’t make sense to call them in for the one hour before we
reopened.
Ø And, although we had a corded phone
plugged in for backup, there was no one there to answer it, and clearly the
answering machine wasn’t working due to the loss of power.
Ø We really apologize if you tried to come
to the store or contact us this day!

it took a full 6 months, but we FINALLY got our Heidi Swapp order from Advantus! We have a ton of it and it’s all right
as your walk in the door in our “What’s New” section.
They, of course, back ordered several items, but we received dozens and
dozens of her cool products.
BAZZILL!
Ø Alright, so, if you’ve been
watching, I’ve been giving you updates. We got our boxes on Thursday
(Sorry Andy!!! …our UPS guy!) We busted our
butts to get all of the colors checked in, labeled, and organized in a
pleasing color scheme.
Ø BUT WE DID IT! and
we did it all by mid-afternoon on Friday! It looks GREAT! Here’s are
pics of some of the racks!

Ø We
don’t have a rep anymore so it took us weeks and weeks and weeks to
identify which colors we had so that we could order all of the colors we
didn’t have. We are sorry that it has taken so long! We will be on a
regular reorder basis now and promise to have hundreds of colors always in
stock!

Ø We have received the Studio
font and the wedding shapes already. The other Quickutz
items are on order: Stiletto, Olivia, and new easier-to-use handtools. They’ll be in soon!

Well, we are
starting a Design Team – that is BRAND new!

Plus, our
Bazzill is (finally) starting to shape up…
Ø It’s going to look a little sparse
for a little while longer, but I got all of the reds, pinks, oranges and
yellows labeled and in a pretty good order.
Ø I have reordered EVERY red, pink,
orange, and yellow that we did not have in stock. So that will fill out
those racks (that’s why there is so much room in between them).
Ø I did the greens and blues yesterday and
I finished the purples today! The missing ones from these color schemes
will hopefully get ordered tomorrow (8/2).
Ø Next, I’ll be making tags for the
remaining colors (browns, blacks/greys/white).
After all of that is done, I’ll reorder all of the other colors.
Ø We
don’t have a rep anymore so we have been working hard on our own to
figure out which colors we have and which colors we are missing. It has
been a TON of work, so give me just a little more time, but I’m on
it! Everything should take shape shortly!

Ø HOLY COW did we just get a

where we will sell a few items individually (you know, they will be $x

by 7Gypsies, plus I just ordered some AMAZING crystal sliders that
you’ll love!

Ø We are expecting a HUGE shipment of 8½”x11” cardstock! It will be dozens
of colors! Lots of the Classic Bazzill colors. We already have the racks up
and are waiting for it. Did you know? We are one of the few stores where
you can find 8½x11 cardstock? We also have 8½x11 decorative paper, vellum,
light weight shimmer,
metallic, mulberry, handmade, and shimmery cardstock.
Ø Did you know that we have
started adding invitations to our selection? Look in the
8½”x11” section for the cute invitations we have in stock
already. I am buying more and only picking the best styles!
Ø We have the most popular
Major League Baseball teams back in stock (the EK Jolee’s).
Plus, we have the recently released stadiums and logos. Please keep
in mind that some stadiums are corporately sponsored and not available
through the licensing rights that EK received.
Ø We have all of the brand new
Making Memories foam stamps in stock. And lots of each.
Ø Have you seen the new Snap
Binding system by Pioneer?? If you are looking for an easier way to bind
your books, this is it! it is SO simple! And not
only does Pioneer make books with this system, they have a converter kit
that you can buy to change your current binding system to the next
generation!

arrive soon!

The
new BAZZILL colors! We have finally received our order from February and
are stocked up on cardstock! …So much so that we had to devote two
new racks to it! And I’ve ordered more! All of the items we received
are out and ready for you!

We
have a few more new vendors:
o Foof-a-la and MOD are already out.
o Clearsnap – we have all of the “cats
eye” Inkpads
o Basic Grey is half out – should be
done by tomorrow.
o Rusty Pickle is here but still in the
box (I’m working hard to get to it!)

We
have 24 boxes of Colorbők scrapbooks that
have arrived and are out.

We
have received over 75 boxes of all new products in the last two weeks
alone!

now carry several brands of invitations. We are building up this area but
have many CUTE styles of invitations for birthdays, fiestas, weddings,
showers, and more! Plus we will be adding more.

We moved in the fall
of 2004!
We are now just
diagonally across the street into the Michael’s & Jo-Ann’s
shopping center.
Our new location is MORE THAN THREE
TIMES
the size of the old
space!
Our new address is
12305 Poway Road.
We are in the
free-standing building along Poway Road in the north-western corner of the
parking lot (formerly was Ortho Mattress).

I cannot tell you how excited I am! From 300
square feet within my ex-husband’s store… to 700 square feet on
Poway Road near Community… to 1,100 square feet where we were... and
now to 4,800 (3,600 is dedicated to retail space!) in our new home!
We are the LARGEST scrapbook store in North County San Diego!
And I have my amazing customers and fantastic
staff to thank for it!
And, did you know that our store is organized
by TOPIC? It makes it SO much easier for you to find what you are looking
for and to see all items in a theme at one glance! We were the first to do
this and have had several follow suit because the customers just LOVE it! I
hear DAILY how much people love to shop this way!
Don’t worry, things like Basic Grey, Wild Asparagus, Chatterbox, Wild Asparagus,
Kaleidoscope, etc, are all kept together for those who shop by brand! These
are “collections” and it would make no sense to split them up! J

Frequent Buyer Program Change

We no longer accept the yellow punch cards. The
old punch cards began being changed out 2/1/04 and expired 5/30/04.

We ran a three month conversion program for
your yellow cards. From Saturday, February 28, 2004 to Sunday, May 30,
2004, you were allowed to change them in for equal credit.

We sent press releases to over 30 local
newspapers in San Diego and Riverside Counties, posted signs at our store,
listed it on the front page of our website, sent out three emails to all of
those on our email list and sent postcards to anyone whose email address we
didn’t have.
