I'm so sorry to be so out of touch!
Here's what I can tell you currently....
We are currently closed.
We were closed Monday. We are closed today (Tuesday). We
will most likely be closed tomorrow (Wednesday).
I have been evacuated from my home since 5am Monday
morning, but I (plus all 5 cats) are safe at a hotel
downtown.
I only have my laptop and don't have the ability to
update the website currently. I'm missing one cable to be able
to do it! (Frustrating!).
But, the store is
FINE! I stopped by there today and got
the many messages left on our machine! Thank you everyone for
the concern!
I was able to sneak into my neighborhood in Rancho
Bernardo and my community of Tanglewood/Summerwood (part of 4S
Ranch) is fine (so far). We are still under mandatory
evacuation, though.
Most of my staff is under evacuation or advisory, but so
far as I know, no one has lost their home (yet?). So we'll see
what tomorrow looks like.
Our class this evening is, of course, cancelled (also,
the teacher can't physically get to the store due to the
closure of I-15 north of Route 78.) I tried to call everyone
today - all of those who I reached pretty much knew it would
be cancelled....
I would like to state that The
Westin Hotels are now my new favorite
hotel!!! They normally only accept small dogs, but made the
decision yesterday to take all pets. There are MANY large (and
small) dogs here - so many that a gentleman who was
clueless asked if there was a dog show in town!! (it was nice
to have that laugh yesterday!) Plus, they let myself and
my 5 "monster" cats come here for the week. And all of the
staff here has been just lovely! They are concerned and
helpful and available for anything that we need! (I'm here
with MANY other evacuees from all over the county).
I'll update on the website as soon as I can. Email me any
questions - I have intermittent email access.
I know that we have masses of
customers who are affected and I'm certain that we have
customers who have lost homes and I just want to state that my
heart is with you! Although my home is not "out of the woods",
it appears that it is going to be fine and I just was sick to
my stomach in driving up to it imagining how I would feel if
it was gone.
I can't imagine what you are going through!
All of our thoughts and prayers are with
