IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CLASSES and CROPS:

·       Classes and crop fees MUST be prepaid.  Please read the rules. You can sign up and pay by calling us at (858) 679-9100 or stopping in the store. (sorry, you cannot register online)

·       When attending a class please always bring your basic kit of supplies.  At a minimum, this should include: adhesive (wet & dry), a pencil, a black pen, a ruler, scissors and a personal trimmer. Plus check your class list below for any additional items that you should bring with you.

·       Wanna Crop? During regular business hours, you are welcome to crop at our tables. The fee is just $2 per hour, and if you spend more than $20 pre-tax in products while you are there, the fee is waived. You must call in advance to make sure that we have table space for you.

¨     Using Basic Grey's brand new line called Sugar Rush and lots of Maya Road's vintage findings, we'll create this adorable banner perfect for celebrating LOVE and its special day.

¨     The Spread the Love Banner is just what you need to cheer up your home or office.  The finished banner is about 18" long by 9" tall.

¨     We'll use a variety of techniques & cool tools including Making Memories' Slice digital die cutting machine, Shimmerz, Scor-Mat and the Crop-a-dile.

¨     This class & project is perfect for all levels of paper crafters.

¨     WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

o      Your basic tool kit including scissors, liquid adhesive (Zip Dry is suggested), adhesive foam squares (small), foam brush, craft knife, a cutting mat (the Scor-Mat is suggested), Crop-a-dile.

 

¨     Kit information:

o      Kits come with the complete product required to create the class except for the basic class supplies and other items, as listed.

o      Kits include complete instructions (either in print or via an online venue).

¨     We’ll give you an overview of essential scrapbook supplies and techniques, PLUS help you create a layout with pictures that you are working on.

¨     Bring the pictures/pages that you are working on, and we’ll help you to turn them into completed pages!

¨     Minimum of 5, Maximum of 15

¨     WHAT TO BRING:

Silhouette 201: Advanced Techniques

¨     This class will start off where you left off in “Silhouette 101”.

¨     This class will use the original Silhouette (Not the new SD Silhouette).

¨     This class assumes that you are comfortable using your Silhouette to cut paper-piecing die shapes and download files

¨     This class also assumes that you can do some basic editing, ie: resizing, text, ungrouping files to use pieces of a shape to make new shapes.

¨     Class Content:

o      Welding Words and Shapes using the NEW software update

o      Auto-tracing Clipart

o      Print and Cut

o      Using the Pen Tool

¨     There will be time for question and answers.

¨     As a part of this class fee, you will receive a CD of the class lesson and practice files.

¨     If you are already comfortable with your Silhouette tool, Silhouette 101 is not a prerequisite for taking this class.

Copic 101

¨     Copic 101 is a technique-based class where you will become familiar with these popular high-quality markers.  Students learn specific techniques that work well with stamped images.  This is a great way to learn the basics (and a little more). Agenda includes marker basics (types of markers, papers, inks for stamping, colors), shadowing, shading, three different blending techniques, blender pen, and working with spica’s, multiliner, and embellishments.  Jill provides all materials and markers to be used in the class, brochure, take-home directions, and blank color chart.  Students will make a personal booklet featuring class techniques and are entered in a drawing to win a special prize.  Since learning the techniques requires the entire two hours, no cards are made in the 101 class.

Scrapbooking 102: A Continuation–Taking the Training Wheels Off!

¨     The Scrapbooking 102 class will be a continuation of Scrapbooking 101. 

¨     Much like the SB101 class, we'll create a layout using your photos and show how to incorporate patterned papers, eyelets, brads, quickutz, tearing and inking. 

¨     The teacher demonstrate the Quickutz and Crop-a-Dile tools and you’ld  use them on their layouts.

¨     You’ll also dig into Title ideas and which mediums can be used to spice up your titles and give life to our layouts.

¨     This class, while it is a beginner class, the students should know the basics and have created at least one 2-page layout before.

¨     The teacher will be providing minimal supplies for this class – it is primarily an instructional class.

¨     WHAT TO BRING:

o      Pictures you want to use to create your layout, any paper or products you want to use on your two page layout, your basic tool kit (including trimmer, adhesive, scissors and pens).
