1.
Price
·
Our regular pricing is lower than most other scrapbook stores.
I don’t believe in over pricing our products!!

Our pricing matches or is lower than
both Michael’s and Jo-Ann’s on most common items!

Did you know that we carry several
items at prices lower than Michael’s?! (ie: Pioneer Scrapbooks,
Pioneer scrapbook refills, Herma/Dotto refills, Provo decorative scissors, to name a few1)
2.
Service
·
We strive to greet every customer who
walks in our store with at least a “hello” regardless of how
busy we are! It’s hard to be at 100%, but we REALLY do try!
·
We are always available to answer
questions about where products are, how to use certain items, or a
suggestion as to which item we prefer.
·
We actually use our own products! All
of the employees scrapbook and/or make cards so we are familiar with most
of the products. We’re happy to share with your which ones are our
favorite adhesives or new paper.
·
Do you have a question? PLEASE ask us! We are ALWAYS
happy to help!
3.
Hours
·
We are open 7 days a week. Yes, we are open on Sundays!
And we always have been! For 7 years we have set our hours to try to meet
our customers’ needs!

We never close for
“personal” days – except that one time that the power
went out and even then, we stayed open as long as our battery backups would
keep the computerized registers running!
·
We only are closed for 7 holidays a
year. See a list.
And next year, it will be only 6 days! (we will be open for Labor Day
2007!)
·
We stay open late! Our regular weekday
hours are until 8pm
every night. And during our crops (at least 3 per month), we keep the doors
open until 10pm.

Website
Information
·
I hear constantly how great our
website is because it is packed with lots of information and easy to
navigate. Please check out our website to see all of the information that
you can find. Here are just a few of them:
i.
Hours
that we are open. Plus directions and
a map.
ii.
What’s New
– I update the “What’s New” section often and will
tell you of new products or things going on at the store. This website is
ALWAYS current! If you compare us to other stores, you will see that we
update our pages much more frequently with lots of new information!
iii.
Classes
– we keep our class calendar online and full of information. You can
find it both in a narrative form or in the “at-a-glance” form.
The calendar shows the price, description, date, time, a list of what to
bring, and if we have a class sample, I put a picture of it on the website
for you to view. We know that a lot of our customers live a distance away
so we don’t want to make you have to drive all of the way to the
store to see if you might be interested in a class.
iv.
Other – I put as much
information out on our website as possible. I try to keep it as
informative, interesting and helpful as I can; without bogging you down in
never-ending narratives. If there is something that you would like to see
added to our website that isn’t out here already, just let
me know and I’ll do my best!
5.
Website
Updates
·
How many times have you gone to a
store’s website only to find last month’s calendar out
there? You will not find that with us! We always have the current
month’s calendar, plus months in advance! Everything is updated
and posted! Plus, on each page, I try to tell you the last time that it was
updated. That way, you know in one simple glance if you have seen the
information before – so bookmark our pages and see at a glance if you
have seen this info or not. We know how important your time is!

Also, we post more than just this
month’s activities on our online calendar!! We know that you have a
busy life and need time to plan, so as soon as we have a date of class or
event, I post it out on our website
·
I update the website at least a dozen
times a month! There will always be current information out here!
·
I also see a lot of scrapbook store
websites where the information is OLD! As much as 6 months old! You will
always find our information current. Plus, most pages have the last day
that the page was updated so you can know at a glance if you have read the
most up-to-date information. I really do try to make the website as
user-friendly as possible!
6.
Email Updates
·
We send out informative emails full of
as much information, pictures and links to fresh information as possible. I
try to keep the information concise and easy to read and I try to not be
too longwinded so you can get all of the information you want and need as
quickly as possible!
·
I don’t bombard you with emails
every week. I send emails only one or two times per month.
·
Just FYI, we NEVER sell or give away
any of your information. If you want to join our email list, go to our Home
page. At the bottom of the page is a sign up box.
7.
Owner
Involvement
·
I work at my store every week!
(usually 6 days out of 7, actually!! J ).
·
I don’t hide in the back of the
store, you’ll find me right out on the floor ringing up customers,
putting out merchandise, and answering questions. Say “hi” the
next time you are in! I love getting to know my fabulous customers!

New products
daily
·
In 2006, we added new product to our
floors almost every single day!
·
You will never find the same exact
selection twice.
·
“Keeping it fresh!” I work
hard on trying to keep our store fresh and new. We re-merchandise products
constantly to keep the store fresh and unique. We hear a LOT
of compliments about new racks, displays, products and more!
9.
Selection
·
We are known for our selection of
products! We have over 200 vendors that we order from regularly. See a list of vendors
we carry. Plus, we have some of the largest selections of the items you
want most!
i.
Scrapbooks: We
have the largest selection of scrapbooks in San Diego County!
On 3/31/06, we had 1,628 scrapbooks in 767
styles.
ii.
Adhesives: We
carry an EXTENSIVE selection of adhesives and refills. On 3/31/06, we had 1,622 adhesives in 210
different SKUs.
iii.
Papers: We
have one of the largest selections of papers in the county. Plus, we have
an extensive selection of specialty papers. On 3/31/06,
we had 136,064 in over 5433 different styles of papers (including 12x12
decorative, 8.5x11 papers, vellums and specialty papers)
iv.
Cardstock
selection: We have over 450 different colors of Bazzill Cardstock in
stock every day. Plus, we carry a lighter weight of cardstock in ~60 colors
v.
Ribbons: We
have lots of ribbons and fibers – both in packages and by the yard. On 3/31/06, we had 763 different ribbons, twills,
and fibers by the yard.
vi.
Magazines
& Idea Books: We have lots of idea books and
magazines in stock. On 3/31/06, we had 128
different idea books/software in stock. Plus, 105 of them are magazines that are various vendors and
issues.
vii.
Stamps: We
carry Foam Stamps, wood mounted rubber stamps, and clear/unmounted stamps. On 3/31/06, we had 63 different fonts of foam
stamps, and 669 different rubber stamps (this includes clear/unmounted and
rubber/wood mounted)
10.
Location, location, location!
·
Directions to our store are EASY!
Right off of I-15, east on Poway Road 2.2 miles, and turn right into our
shopping center.
·
We have extensive parking. This
shopping center has lots of parking!
·
We have a Michael’s and a
Jo-Ann’s Fabrics right here in our shopping center! Park the car just
once and visit all three of us!
·
Only 15 minutes from Mission Valley,
35 minutes from Carlsbad, 20 minutes from Del Mar…
(well, without traffic, of course!)
One final note, we do not charge a fee to belong to our
Frequent Buyer program. Yes, you need to make a (one time) minimum purchase
in order to receive your card initially, but there is no charge to receive
the card. Here are our current “rules”.
